This is one of the longer driving days, but the landscapes change continuously. The road crosses the Middle Atlas, passes Ifrane and Midelt, then descends through the Ziz Valley toward Erfoud and Merzouga.

What Should You Leave Out of a 10-Day Trip?
Chefchaouen and Essaouira are excellent destinations, but adding both to this Sahara-focused route creates backtracking. If Chefchaouen is a priority, consider a cultural itinerary that reduces the southern section. If the Atlantic coast is a priority, replace part of the desert route rather than simply adding more driving.
