What to Expect on Your 14 Day Morocco Grand Tour ?
This 14 day Morocco grand tour takes you from the north to the south of Morocco, visiting imperial cities like Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Marrakech, coastal Essaouira, Atlas Mountains, and iconic Sahara desert landscapes.
DAY 1: CASABLANCA / RABAT
- Arrival at Casablanca airport. Welcome by our French-English-Spanish speaking driver and departure for the visit of the Hassan II Mosque (interior and exterior). After lunch, panoramic visit of the economic capital: United Nations Square, Mohammed V Boulevard, the residential district of Anfa, and the Ain Diab corniche. Continuation to Rabat. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2: RABAT / ASILAH / TANGIER
- Breakfast and departure for a guided historical visit of Rabat, capital of the Kingdom. Walk on the esplanade of the Royal Palace (Dar el-Makhzen) and its monumental gates, followed by a visit to the Hassan Tower and the prestigious Mohammed V Mausoleum. This marble masterpiece is considered one of the most beautiful burial sites in the world. Discovery of the Mechouar ramparts, the Kasbah garden, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Continuation to Asilah for a free visit of its artistic medina, then route to Tangier. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3: TANGIER / TETOUAN / CHEFCHAOUEN
- Breakfast and panoramic visit of Tangier, a city at the crossroads of civilizations. Next, head to Tetouan to discover its Hispano-Moorish architecture. At the end of the day, departure for Chefchaouen, the "Blue Pearl" of the Rif. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4: CHEFCHAOUEN / MEKNES / VOLUBILIS / FES
- Breakfast and discovery on foot of the small blue city, Chefchaouen. Nestled on the peaks of the Rif, this small town overflows with charm and authenticity. After the visit, departure for Volubilis for a guided tour of the famous Roman ruins. Continuation to Meknes, an imperial city, to admire the monumental Bab Mansour gate. Arrival in Fes for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5: GUIDED TOUR OF FES
- Breakfast and historical guided tour dedicated to the spiritual capital of Morocco. Exploration of the Fes el-Bali medina (UNESCO World Heritage site), visit to the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine fountain, and the impressive traditional tanneries. Immersion in the artisanal souks. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 6: FES / IFRANE / MIDELT / MERZOUGA
- Breakfast and departure for the south. Passage through Ifrane, nicknamed "Moroccan Switzerland," and crossing the Middle Atlas through its cedar forests inhabited by Barbary macaques. Continuation via Midelt and the Ziz Valley. Arrival at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Camel trek to admire the sunset. Dinner and night in a luxury bivouac.
DAY 7: MERZOUGA / TODRA GORGES / BOUMALNE DADES
- Early wake-up to witness the sunrise over the dunes. Breakfast and departure for the Todra Gorges and their immense limestone walls. Route to the Dades Valley to admire the singular rock formations called "monkey fingers." Dinner and accommodation in Boumalne Dades.
DAY 8: BOUMALNE DADES / OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH
- Breakfast and departure for Ouarzazate, the "Gateway to the Desert." Visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios. Continuation to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO). Crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m). Arrival in Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 9: GUIDED TOUR OF MARRAKECH
- Breakfast and guided tour of the essentials: the Majorelle Garden, the Bahia Palace, and the medina. Discovery of the Ben Youssef Madrasa and the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna square. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 10: MARRAKECH (FREE DAY)
- Breakfast and free day to explore Marrakech, the Red City, at your own pace or enjoy an optional activity (hammam, cooking class, etc.). Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 11: MARRAKECH / ESSAOUIRA
- Breakfast and departure for Essaouira. On the way, visit an argan oil cooperative run by local women. Upon arrival, visit the medina (UNESCO), the fishing port, and the ramparts of the former Mogador. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 12: ESSAOUIRA (FREE DAY)
Breakfast and free day to relax by the sea or stroll through the city's alleys. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 13: ESSAOUIRA / SAFI / OUALIDIA / EL JADIDA / CASABLANCA
- One day before the end of the greatest tour of your life! Lunch on the way. Continuation to El Jadida, also called Mazagan, a fortified city built by the Portuguese in the early 16th century. Continuation to Casablanca for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 14: CASABLANCA / AIRPORT
- Breakfast and departure for your transfer to Casablanca airport for a safe flight.
